11:30 AM - 12:30 PM EST
The Fredericksburg Area Builders Association invites you to attend a special Developer’s Council meeting and presentation on Thursday, February 5, 2026, from 11:30am – 1:00pm at La Petite Auberge (311 Williams Street, Fredericksburg, VA 22401). This meeting will be focused on how changing population demographics will impact housing demand in our region, and how the development community can engage in new opportunities around affordable housing. We are pleased to welcome two featured speakers:
Dr. Lance Gentry - University of Mary Washington
Dr. Gentry will present an analysis of regional trends and discuss how shifts in age, household composition, and population growth are expected to reshape housing demand over the next decade. His presentation will provide valuable insight for builders and developers planning future projects and product types.
Cait Woodward – Loisann’s Hope House
Ms. Woodward will outline Hope House’s mission and discuss potential programs, grants, and partnership opportunities available to developers interested in the creation of affordable housing. Her presentation will focus on how nonprofit–developer collaborations can help address local housing needs while leveraging available resources. We encourage all builders/developers with an interest in long-term market trends, workforce housing, and affordable housing solutions to attend.
