Pest Solutions is hosting this month's event and we've decided it's time to put in the good work for our Spotsylvania County students. There are over 500 homeless students within the Spotsylvania County School system and that number is due to rise significantly once they resume in-person learning. These students suffer from food insecurity\, supply deficiency and physical and mental health concerns. Most importantly\, they are dependent on the generosity of the community and people like you to make sure they have the basic essentials of what they need to succeed.\n\n \n\nThat is why Pest Solutions is partnering with Spotsylvania County Schools Lead Social Worker\, and our customer\, Michelle Swisher to raise funds and gather donations at August's Hard Hat Networking Event. Mrs. Swisher runs Treasure House\, a small building attached to the back of Massaponax High School filled with school supplies\, personal goods and non-perishable food items. Students and their families can visit Treasure House once a month to stock up on needed food/personal items\, as well as visit Treasure House for school supplies to get them started on the right foot. Right now\, with SCS restarting in-person learning on August 12\, Treasure House's main focus is on school supplies. There is a large need in our community and\, we\, at Pest Solutions\, think the FABA Family is just the right group to help tackle it!\n\n\n \n\nOn Thursday\, August 19 join Pest Solutions at Maltese Brewing between 5-7 for a fun and charitable evening. We'll be hosting a raffle with all proceeds going to Treasure House. We will be selling raffle tickets to win a gift basket and MANY other Bug-tastic opportunities to raise funds for Treasure House. We are welcoming supply donations (backpacks\, pens\, general school supplies)\, if you would prefer\, but our main focus is raising funds so the Treasure House leaders and volunteers can purchase the supplies they know are needed most. So\, with that said\, make sure to bring COLD\, HARD CASH MONEY to participate in the raffles and contests\, with every penny focused on the SCS homeless students. \n\n \n\nLet's help knock down homelessness and build a better community!\n\n \n\nPest Solutions looks forward to seeing you there!!
